We are planning to decommision old Etsin Service (etsin.avointiede.fi).
The Service has been in read-only state and all published datasets were migrated into the new Etsin (etsin.fairdata.fi) on late June 2019. Datasets are all safe in new Etsin and no actions needed regarding those datasets. All URNs are and will be resolving themselves into new Etsin.
But notice that if you have any direct links to etsin.avointiede.fi they will stop working as soon as the Service is shut down.
Instead of using direct links to datasets you should always use the resolvable URN.
For example (linking a dataset into new Etsin):
- Not good (direct link to a Service): https://etsin.fairdata.fi/dataset/8d1a31f7-5a29-4b3b-a95d-5fab556fa053
- Good (resolvable URN): http://urn.fi/urn:nbn:fi:att:ac9e042d-126a-46f6-a3fb-d5620409991f
Specific schedule has not been decided yet but the Service will be available at least until the end of November. After that we cannot guarantee the old links to work.
